to facilitate therapy being more active and fun (especially for kids and adolescents). Dr. Larson adheres to a Biopsychosocial model of working of treatment, which
simultaneously targets multiple systems on which experiences are
learned/programmed.

Dr. Larson utilizes an integrative wellness and strengths-based approach to working with
clients. She believes in the inherent strength and resilience of the children,
individuals, and families with whom she works. Dr. Larson encourages her clients to
perceive the valuable learning that underlies the most difficult situations. She challenges
and works with clients to transcend the adversities and perceived or imposed limitations
that serve to restrict choices or narrow options. Therapy is a collaborative process
intended to enhance personal understanding, self-compassion, active problem-solving,
and values-driven behavioral change. Dr. Larson's intention is for clients to depart
therapy with a renewed sense of freedom; empowered feeling and thinking; and the
ability to live more fully in accordance with one’s values and dreams.
